From the Recovery Ready Team.
Foot procedures sound “small” until standing at the sink or getting to the bathroom takes three times longer than usual. If you are preparing (or already in it), these are the themes we hear again and again.
Worth lining up early:
- Protect the foot exactly the way your surgeon described, even when it feels dramatic
- Elevate when swelling climbs, especially at the end of the day
- Stage kitchen and bathroom so you are not hopping across the house for every little thing
- Soft supportive shoes only when you are cleared, not because they feel better for five minutes
