From the Recovery Ready Team.

Wrist recovery hits the boring parts of life first. Dressing, cooking, typing, phone use. People often feel fine until they try to do those for a full day.

A few practical notes we share a lot:

  • Practice a one handed routine for buttons, bags, and meal prep before surgery if you can
  • Keep the splint dry. A simple shower plan saves a lot of frustration
  • Pace typing and scrolling early. Small overuse adds up fast
  • Ask about driving and desk work so you have a real timeline, not a guess
